Loved Not Lost

Put me deep into
Wilderness
Let me lose myself
Digress
And be inspired
By Bryce's sandstone spires
Yosemite's glacier
Carvings, sing
Sea songs
With the Pt. Reyes surf pounding
Out a backbeat
In front of me
Give me the Keys to drift
Lazy in aquamarine
While the full moon reflects
A path of peace
Across the twilight sea

This is offered for Mary's fun "Lost" prompt at poetryjaam.blogspot.com and for Kim at Poets United poetryblogroll.blogspot.com who asked us to write about places we love.  And those are places where I lose my burdens and find myself again--:-)

  4. I find it amazing how easy it is to lose ourselves in magical places, places we can return to over and over ... in our minds/memories.

  6. Oh ... what a beautiful take on 'being lost' ... losing oneself in the beauty of a place bigger than we are is one sure way of finding the importance of what ??? ... the beauty in each grain of sand and the beauty in ourselves for recognizing it ... this was a great write! Crackerjack!
