Fresh Faced

It hit
Face
First
Filled me
From inhale
To fingernail
Fresh breeze
Gluttony
Straight up
Off the sea
One more rea-
son
I'll never
Live
Salt free

This poem has been spilled on the bar at OLN dVersePoets.com.  Had a rare day when the sun was out, the wind died down and I dined on some of the most delicious fresh ocean air, ever :-)  Cheers!

  7. There's just nothing like the slap of salt-spray thrown into your face by a gale, is there. You make me long to visit the coast to get the taste and smell of the sea into my lungs.

  10. I grew up close to the freshness of salt.. but so rarely I feel that now... the sea around Stockholm is brackish... this stirred a longing in me.

    1. Hi Bjorn! I'm familiar with the brackish scent too--that's a very interesting comment, I would have thought Stockholm's air would have been different. My father's family is from Norway--hope to go there some day and feel some nordic saltiness :-)

    1. Hi Jennifer! It is definitely warmer here--though we only have two seasons--green and wet. Miss that crisp feeling in the air--there's a freshness about Autumn and snow too :-) So glad you enjoyed it
