I'm waiting for non-
judgment day
Where " I love you"
Is what we say
To
Differences, idiosynch-
Cracies
We'll dance among the
Pleasant-
Trees
Share whirled peas
Sip humani-
Teas
Life could be
So trouble free
If we'd embrace
Our common-
ality
And imagine the
Possibili-
ties
This is offered for Peggy's prompt at Poetry Jam poetryjaam.blogspot.com to write about an impossible place. With all the violence and anger lately, this seems pretty remote, however, I like to think that with hope all things are possible. Happy weekend :-)
sometimes that place of peace seems like such an impossible place for sure...where the world lives in harmony and love lasts...i hear you....smiles...have a wonderful weekend
ReplyDeleteHi Brian! Thank you, hard to keep the faith sometimes, people like you keep me hopeful :-)
DeleteWe do crave for such a world, don't we? Your poem makes me feel that if we dream hard enough we can accept others as they are and turn this world into such a peaceful place.
ReplyDeleteHi Gabriella! Thank you, I try to keep the hope alive :-)
DeleteSuch a happy title to go with the verses! I agree totally, people should live and let live and life would be so much nicer if we did not sweat the small stuff. Life's too short. :0)
ReplyDeleteHi Anne! Thank you, I absolutely agree.
DeleteI still dream of tasting whirled peas some day... and now I want a cup of humani-tea to go with it! Great poem!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel! Thank you very much, thought you might appreciate this :-)
DeleteThe perfect response. I look forward to it becoming true.
ReplyDeleteHi Gail! Thank you, I hope that it comes true too :-)
DeleteIt is all grace and that is what comes through your words, more things behind the lines. Great message and nicely done.
ReplyDeleteHi Alan! Very true, thank you for the lovely compliment :-)
DeletePrefect ..life will be beautiful if we all can do that..:)
ReplyDeleteHi Arathi! I think so too, thank you :-)
DeleteIf we'd embrace
ReplyDeleteOur commonality
And imagine the
Possibilities
If only the world finds grounds of common agreement then possibilities of less conflicts can be forthcoming. Truly said Sara V!

Hi Hank! Lovely to see you, thank you for your support :-)
DeleteLovely wishes for the world.
ReplyDeleteHi Rallentanda! Thank you for the visit. Your poems were excellent :-)
DeleteI share your thoughts.....beautifully conveyed.......
ReplyDeleteHi Sreeja! Thank you very much. :-)
DeleteWonderful wordsmithing - you have a real gift for taking rhyme (which I love) to the next level. Very cleverly written.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy! Thank you so much! I enjoy rhyme very much, yet worry that it alienates some people. You just gave me a week of smile :-)
ReplyDeleteThe whole poem is great, but I personally find that the first stanza is outstanding. I love the message your poem conveys and the way you have expressed it. A delightful write, Sara!
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs-M! I was happy with the first stanza too. I'm glad it spoke to you as well. I Was concerned that the nuance of "non" before judgment might have been lost. Thank you so much! :-)
