She wants to help
Every day
Sending ray upon ray
Of her
A sunny disposition
And now a scientific
Proposition
Take her positive energy
And make a road
That
Powers the car
(if it's electric)
The nation
And makes refuse
Use-
Ful
Can it be reality?
Maybe
It's up to you and me
(watch the movie...)
This is so unbelievably cool! They have a prototype, they have an FB page too. Are there issues? Sure. But just the concept, the idea that this could be, is pretty doggone thrilling!! I love the wonder of it. Deep breath, feel the wonder?! Yes, I knew you would :-)
So Thank you to Poetry Jam for the inspiration--write a poem that is for didactic (interesting teaching)
purpose. poetryjaam.blogspot.com Also for open link night at dversepoets.com
WOW... wouldn't this be fabulous if they could make it happen! Incredible.
ReplyDeleteI love new technology, new inventions and this would be such a great one if they could find a money backer or several to help them get it going.
Thanks for sharing Sara and, thanks for such a lovely comment too )
Hi Brenda! I thought you might share in my enthusiasm :-) thank you!
DeleteYour poem was really wonderful <3
what that would be very cool....and def be an answer to our oil dependency....ugh, the car companies will def fight it but how cool would that be?
ReplyDeleteHi Brian! Awesome to disconnect from the oil, right? Thank you for sharing in the wonder!
Deletevery cool..we need to do quite some catch up with alternative energies..
ReplyDeleteHi Claudia! It would be very cool--we shall see. Thank you :-)
DeleteVery cool...that would be great :)
ReplyDeleteHi Ayala! Very cool to see you again. Thank you for the visit :-)
DeleteLet's just hope that the sun keeps on shining. Would not be nice to run out of rays miles away from everywhere:-)
ReplyDeleteCan't see it working in our rainy country but a great solution for desert countries, where they have plenty of oil. Oh well, fingers crossed
Hi Aprille! That's a good point--it rains a lot here too, but also very sunny. I just love out of the ordinary thinking (especially if it's useful)
DeleteWhat an irony to work where there's lots of oil, hmm?
Thank you for the visit! :-)
Hi Sara, Actually I think at this time the car companies would embrace the idea and jump on board, competing to be the one to first utilize the technology. Interesting post, Sara.
ReplyDeleteI agree, especially since they're already embracing the electric car concept. The oil companies... well that's another story altogether. Thank you for the thoughtful comments :-)
DeleteVery nice idea ~ Hopefully someday it will be a reality ~ Thanks for the link and share ~
ReplyDeleteHi! Glad you enjoyed it. I'm hoping too. Thank you for stopping by:-)
DeleteIn a land as close as tomorrow,
ReplyDeleteand yet that far away;
We watch and wish and wonder
if ever will come the day.
We can hope our future is this bright.
Hi Donald! Nice to see you again--okay you have stumped me. That sounds so familiar, but when I tried to Google it, couldn't find it. A perfect poem, love getting poems in response to my poems :-) Thank you!
DeleteI am so glad Google came up empty,
DeleteI thought it up on the fly.
If you got a hit on Google,
it would have made me cry!
OH STOP Donald! Very nice to make your acquaintance here in cyber-space.
Donald, it is very nice to make your acquaintance. Wonderful poem for on the fly! Sometimes you just can't stop the rhyming--gotta go with the flow
DeleteAmazing, Sara... your excitement jumps off the page!
ReplyDeleteHi Laurie! Yes, I was literally bouncing up and down in my chair when my husband showed me this video :-)

ReplyDeleteHi Helen! You have the best comments! Thank you :-)
ReplyDeleteEntertaining and thought-provoking at the same time. Thanks for.
ReplyDeleteVery cute -- it seems like poetry-for-poetry sake but it has reason and message -- well, if you watch the video
ReplyDeleteVery very cool, Sara. If only all of these alternative solutions could be implemented quickly, legislated and endorsed by governments...........it is all possible - the Old Order seems unable to let go of its death-grip on the planet for profits - but profits could come in other more environmentally viable ways.........
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry!! Love seeing you again, it would be fantastic if we could implement these solutions more quickly. Thank you for your support and thoughtful comments :-)
DeleteSara, at last I am freed (for now) from the terrible BSOD and my computer, Sadie, is here. Love this idea, and yes, I do believe you should be in charge of all things innovative. Loved the video and hope someday to own a car that runs on french fry grease or garbage! Love, Amy
ReplyDeleteAmy!! so happy to have you back :-) Hey Sadie, quite scaring us like that (ha!) Not quite ready to take the mantle of all things innovative, though I have been loving what's been in the news lately! You just never know what will come up next--our minds can be wonderful, when we let imagination and wonder combine.
DeleteThe concept is so cool ... wish it could be real :-)
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteWhat an amazing project! It is hard to imagine that road living through earthquakes and snow storms, but I hope it can!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel!! Yep, there's lots of challenges, hope is how we get there :-)
DeleteWow, what a wonderful scheme. And what a fun poem, so playful and positive - and also, what fun to be instructed to write a didactic poem, instead of the usual advice to steer cear of such. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Rosemary!! What a delight to see you here. Thank you for the lovely compliment :-)
