I Believe

In Santa
The Easter Bunny
And Tooth Fairy
How could I not?
They all were me!

This was written for the prompt to write about make believe and fantasy, from last week at Poetry Jam poetryjaam.blogspot.com (yes, I am that behind).  And I do believe! These gift givers are traditions passed from parent to parent for years and years. Of course they exist, all you have to do is look at that wide-eyed happy expression of a small child.  Wonder is the best magic of all.  Also, sharing this with Open Link Night at dversepoets.com where everyone believes in something :-)

    1. Hi Grace!! That is exactly right, I loved that part of parenting--the notes, the cookies and carrots for Santa, the mystery of the disappearing eggs, the magic of money for teeth--Love it!

  12. LOL, Sara, so true. I remember one time my son laid a trap for the tooth fairy and, when I opened his slightly ajar door, his sleeping bag hit me on the head. Kids?!?

    1. Oh Veronica!! Thank you so much for that--I'm laughing myself silly over here on the other coast--hilarious! One night I was too tired and the tooth fairy "forgot" holy cow, my son came to breakfast with this hang-dog face the next day, and I felt horrible--the tooth fairy left an apology note that she was tired and his head was too heavy--yours is the best, though!! :-)
