Uncorked

The fizz
The bliss
I find in
This
From the sparkly
Stream
To the golden
Gleam
Pour me a flute
And two for my friends
Cheers!
Here's
To joy
That never
Ends

A toast to Peggy at Poetry Jam poetryjaam.blogspot.com who prompted us to write about bottles.  I love champagne, always a happy drink, and one meant to be shared.  So cheers!  :-)

  15. I never drink champagne alone! It calls for company. Funny that you visited my "birthday party" and now here I am, adult beverages being served. Loved your "better than sex" comment, ha ha.

This poem made me smile. The internal rhyme, the way your words actually "bubble forth" on the page. Magic! Amy
