CPO "Chief Princess Officer"

Cinderella was
My fave
Even if she was
A slave
Evil was doomed
To lose
And Cindy got
Amazing  shoes
Only now I've
Time to reconsider
I'd say,
"Cindy, screw
The slipper"
Go after glass
Ceilings instead
Don't use your feet
Use your head
And
Don't let fairies
Limit you
It's your life
There's no curfew

  1. Hi Sara! I agree glass ceilings are better than glass slippers. I enjoyed your poem.

The link you put in at PU Poetry Pantry didn't work; but I found your poem anyway.

  8. Sarah,

I love this modern take on an old time story. Good that Cinderella can party without a time restriction to worry her!!!!

  10. Ha! Sara, great take - you literally "fractured" that fairy tale. I never read those stories to my daughter when she was growing up. It was always about some powerless poor girl, in need of the handsome prince. Times have changed, and I would read THIS one to her now, because she's 24. Sending my Riley the link... Peace, Amy
