The Spaces Inbetween

Paint me a mosaic
Shadowed wavelets in a row
In the spaces inbetween
The sun's afterglow
Make it molten flow-
ing
Copper, silver sheet
Then slip it here
Inside my heart
Where it can softly
Beat

This is offered for Poets United Poetry Pantry poetryblogroll.blogspot.com where I swim with and am inspired by my fellow poets, and Poetic Bloomings prompt of "waves" a month of beach related poems, come splash around :-)  PS I took the photo on an evening in Florida Bay, loved the patterns and molten feel of it

  13. Oh, Sara, the copper and silver from picture to poem, how lovely! You know, I'm one for slipping things like this in my heart, too... I'm surprised there's room for blood to flow, LOL.

Lovely meditation, loved the rhyme with word break at "flow-ing"... Amy
